"LOVE this car! Nice a spacious... much bigger inside than it looks on the outside. Great luxurious feel. Haven't had any problems. Decent on gas... fully equipped with all the features. Definitely a smart purchase."

Unexpected Purchase, October 13, 2008
By SCarolinaGurrl from North Carolina
"I had another vehicle in mind for purchase when I saw this car across the lot. I didn't know what it was but it was GORGEOUS, big, black, and shiny (nice chrome accents all around). We took it for a test drive and were inpressed by the power (v6 engine), spacious interior, modern conveniences, and ample cup holders and storage compartments. People are always inpressed with the top of the dash storage area. The seats sit up high so you feel like you're in a much taller vehicle, yet there's still plenty of head room (not to mention leg room front and back). It has a classic look (think mercedes sedan). There's plenty of power under the hood and it's fun to drive. The only con I can think of is it's black and shows EVERY speck of dirt, requires frequent washes, lol. I didn't think about that part when I bought it."

Rides like a Caddy, May 28, 2008

"I have owned my Five Hundred for two years and love to drive it. Annually we drive to Canada to visit the in-laws and it travels like a dream. It feels like luxury but at a somewhat affordable price."

Bang for your buck personified., February 5, 2008
By Steve from Austin, Texas
"I purchased my Five Hundred about two months ago, and I am extremely pleased with the car at this point (39k miles...purchased with 36k).

The car is exactly what I want for my all-too-frequent trips out of town (200-mile round trip type drives). It's quiet, comfortable, and exceedingly roomy (leg room in the back is ridiculous, not that that matters in my car, but it's nice for leeches....uh, tag-alongs).

I personally love the CVT transmission in my particular model. It takes some getting used to, but I love that you can step on it, and the RPMs will just stay in the power zone until you get up to your desired speed. I've seen this car described as doggy or underpowered, and I'm just not seeing it. I think it has plenty of pickup and plenty for passing, even if you're doing 80....well, let's say 70...when you start your pass.

It doesn't have some of the nicer accoutrements that more expensive cars have, but it has everything I want for my everday driving (comfort, acceptable....20-25mpg....gas mileage, plenty of pickup for those over 25 years old, and an enormous trunk).

I personally like the styling, but that's a personal issue so is really unimportant. I loved the 300M when it came out, for example. When I drove one, though, I felt like I couldn't see anything. The Five Hundred allows for excellent visibility, and the side mirrors (though larger than I'd have chosen) allow you to see into your blindspot completely on the passenger side and almost entirely on the driver side (but you still better check).

Anyway, I'm very happy with this car, and with the price of it, it pushes it up into 5-star territory, IMHO.

All the best...

Steve"
